Vignana Jyothi Educational Society was established in 1991 by a group of Industrialists, Businessmen, Academicians, Professionals and NRIs of AP & Telangana who are known for achieving commendable results in their respective fields. It was established as a nonprofit organization to cater the needs of industry and business sectors by providing effective learning environment to potential youth so as to enable them to take on present and future challenges. In this endeavour Vignana Jyothi has established excellent institutions in the areas of Engineering & Technology, Management, Arts & Science and School Education.
With outstanding success in the field of education, most of the members with their roots in Rural Agriculture felt that they owe something to the rural poor farming community, the backbone of the nation. As a result Vignana Jyothi has established Dr.D.Rama Naidu Vignana Jyothi Institute of Rural Development in 2004 on a 33 of acres farmland in Tuniki (Village), Kowdipally (Mandal),Medak (District), Telangana with a generous donation by Dr. D. Rama Naidu,Chief Patron of the Society, to train rural poor youth in the areas of agriculture and allied subjects by integrating classroom learning with field experience.
The unique feature of the institute is that the trainees/students get practical hands on field training in all agricultural operations/technologies by providing them 2 to 3 cents of land each such that they get adequate experience of growing crops from seed to seed.
Vignana Jyothi is a non–profit organization founded by a group of Industrialists, Academicians, Businessmen, NRI’s and Professionals of Andhra Pradesh, who are known for achieving commendable results in their respective fields. Vignana Jyothi was registered during the year 1991 under the Andhra Pradesh (Telengana Areas) Public Societies Registration Act. The aims and objectives are to promote Social, Cultural, Educational, Scientific and Research activities among men and women, particularly the youth.
It also aimed to establish, manage, aid and maintain Educational and Other Institutions, impart Education and Training at all stages for the promotion of Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Agricultural, Commerce, Literature, Arts and Science, Management and other subjects and allied activities for diffusion of useful knowledge and training specially to instill self-confidence, creative thinking and entrepreneurship in students and trainees and to issue Degrees / Diplomas / Certificates to the successful candidates.
